Amazon Appstore offers a useful feature that allows users to drive test the applications before buy them. As additional, Amazon plans to give away a paid Android app each day to attract more buyers into Amazon AppStore. Angry Birds Rio (which is the latest version of the most popular mobile game from Revio Mobile, Angry Birds) will be the first freebie for Amazon AppStore. Since its an Amazon, we can hope that the entire Android applications has been tested before appears on Amazon Appstore. It is said that the testing is done by Seattle-based Amazon. With this testing process, we can hope that there will be no security issue on the applications that sold on Amazon AppStore. Also that, Amazon AppStore will comply the Amazon Online Store general rule so there will be no pornographic contents on it.
Amazon AppStore can be accessed via Amazon.com/appstore URL address. The mobile version is also available and can be downloaded from the same URL address. Unfortunately, so far, Amazon AppStore is only available for U.S. based customers but we can hope that Amazon will make the Amazon AppStore available globally soon.
