Tablet PC for Artist/Animator?

Hello! I've been doing research for YEARS now, trying to find the perfect machine. I'm currently leaning toward the Fujitsu T900, but that could change in a heartbeat. PLEASE help me end the research nightmare Tablet PC for Artist/Animator!

I want to know every niche of every detail about every tablet PC you have ever so much as breathed in the general direction of. Everything from processors to graphic cards to driver problems to customer support to those little pet peeves Tablet PC for Artist/Animator.

I'm pretty good with technology and I've done a lot of research, but for the sake of keeping things simple and taking it easy on my lazy brain, talk to me like a noob, Tablet PC for Artist/Animator if you please.

1. What is your budget?
-Don't care. I'll pay anything. I just need to know a model then I'll save for it.

2. Would you consider purchasing used/refurbished?
-Nope.

3. Do you prefer a Slate, Convertible or Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC)?
-Convertible!

4. What size Tablet PC would you prefer?
Mainstream ~ 12.1"
Large ~ 13.3"

5. Which country do you intent to purchase from?
-"Online" is NOT a country.

6. Do you have any preferences to brand loyalty or dislikes?
-I don't like HP or Dell very much. It'll take some convincing to get me to buy one from them.

7. How many hours battery life do you require?
-Dunno. Something decent to handle a good graphics card.

8. What will be the primary usage scenario of this tablet? (Email/Web Surfing/Drawing/Word Processing/Entertainment/Notetaking etc)
-I mainly want to use this tablet like a portable drawing station. I want to draw and paint like I'm on the computer but without being confined to my desk. I would also like it to be powerful enough to handle some 2D and 3D modelling and animation (not much, just a bit. I do have a desktop for this. :B) and have it be able to keep up with today's standards and my day-to-day lifestyle -touchscreen phone.

9. Do you have an OS preference?
-I LOVE Mac, but that's out of the question, I'm afraid. (I've seen the Modbook. Out of the question.) Windows 7 64 Bit, no more, no less.

10. What software and tasks do you intend to run? (Microsoft Office or other Word Processing Suite/Photoshop/3D Studio Max/Autocad etc)
-Corel Painter 11, Toon Boom Studio 6, Photoshop, maybe 3DS Max or Maya, maybe Illustrator.

10. Do you intend on playing Games? If so please list.
World of Warcraft, City or Heroes, Spore and Portal. I'm not a crazy gamer and don't mind the settings at their lowest. Plus the very occasional web game like DragonFable and Robot Unicorn Attack.


Tablet PC for Artist/Animator - Screen Specifics

1. What resolution do you prefer?
XGA - 1024x768 ~ large and easy to read text and graphic icons but you fit less on the screen.
SXGA - 1400x1050 ~ Small text and graphic icons which require good vision but the gain is a much larger screen. (no longer available new, must look for used or refurbished machines)
WXGA - 1280x768 ~ has a wider usable area than XGA, ideal for viewing Spreadsheets and other programs that require desktop space. The mainly used resolution for new tablet PCs since 2008.

-I would LOVE SXGA, but that's also out of the question, so I guess WXGA is the way to go.

2. Do you require the screen to be readable in sunlight?
-Good question. Not really. If it did, that'd be cool.

3. Do you prefer your display to be glossy or matte?
-Matte, PLEASE.

4. Do you require Touch? (without pressure sensitivity) (Which one: resistive or capacitive)
-Another good question. I love my iPhone technology and I think I'd try to stretch and shrink the screen out of habit. It's your call. :B

5. Do you require a Pen? (with pressure sensitivity) (Which one: Wacom or N-Trig)
-Wacom!


Tablet PC for Artist/Animator - Component Specifics
1. What size Hard Drive and Memory do you require?
-4GBs or RAM, at least. Hard Drive doesn't matter to me.

2. Do you require an Optical (CD/DVD) Drive to be built in?
-Not really, but that'd be SUPER cool.

3. Do you require ability to add a second Battery or Hard Drive (Modular Bay technology)?
-Second battery, sure. Hard Drive, no.

Tablet PC for Artist/Animator - Misc

1. Other non specific items ~ please add other items you require not covered above?
- I need a webcam, Wifi, a practically invisible bezel, a 2nd generation processor (i5 - i7), and a graphics card with "OpenGL", whatever that is.

2. Additional requests ~ anything other you wish to take into consideration?
- I would love Bluetooth and some customizable buttons on the bezel. Is it possible to update a graphics card in a laptop? If the graphics card is easy to change/update, let me know as well.
